I am a second year PhD candidate at the University of Western Australia affiliated with the ARC funded Collecting the West Project (https://www.collectingthewest.org/). I am investigating the development of Western Australia’s photographic collections into different institutions, and the capacity for these disparate collections to be reconnected in a digital environment. My interest in photographic collections and documentation practices for photography for research stems from working with historical and contemporary aerial archaeology photographs with the EAMENA (University of Oxford, http://eamena.arch.ox.ac.uk/) and APAAME (http://www.apaame.org/) projects.
